Its an ultimate choice for the water lovers, Plitvice Lakes national park consists of 16 crystalline and terraced lakes inter-connected by countless waterfalls and cascades, surrounded by the heavy forest.
What to do:
Here is the visiting programs from the official website, includes 7 different routes start either from Entrance 1 or Entrance 2.
This circular route starts from entrance 1, takes about 5 hours, it brings you to the Lower and Upper Lakes area, but you don’t need to walk much, because it combines with electric-boat and panoramic train.
The largest and most attractive waterfalls (“Great Waterfall”, “Veliki Prštavac” and “Mali Prštavac”).
When to go:
April, May, September, October is best.
We went there on beginning of October, weather is agreeable and rich in autumn colors. But always high dense tourists, we suggest you to visit in the morning from 7 to 10 or late afternoon.
